Call for papers and Nominations of Participants
The format of call for papers and the application form will be sent to those universities and related persons in Charge. The title of the presentation paper and the nominated participants' name should be received by August 1,
2005 by the chairman, Jiangsu University attached with the application form with fulfillment, necessary for assembling the seminar and symposium program Final manuscript should be received by September 1.

Remarks
①  The list of nominated participants should cover such items as, name, sex, date of birth, and passport number, telephone number, fax number and e-mail address.
②  Two 30mm×24mm glossy monochromes are to be sent.
Language
English is the official language at the Seminar and Symposium and Proceed-
ings. Simultaneous translation will not be available.
Registration
All participants should register for the meeting on October 16, 2005 as shown in tentative schedule of Overview.
Overview
The meeting is still in the development stage, but the following is the tentative schedule for the various activities during the 12th Tri-University International Joint Seminar and Symposium program. The final program will be mailed in October.

Seminar &Symposium Topics

The common topics on global issues, such as Population, Food, Energy and Environment will be discussed from the various student fields of Agriculture, Engineering, Medicine, Law, Education, Ethics and others. Participants for presentation from different field of study are most welcomed to think and find the better solution for the above mentioned issues through discussion at the same level are meaningful and important for us toward the 21 st century.
Pick-up and Transportation
All the delegates and participants are requested to be at Zhenjiang on October 16, 2005. Our vans will be waiting for the delegates and participants coming from the foreign countries at the airports in Shanghai or Nanjing . It takes almost 4 hours from the two airports to JU.
Accommodation
Hotel will be accommodated by Jiangsu University for the participants during the program held from the night of October 16 th to the night of October 20 th , 2005.
Visas
Participants from foreign countries may contact the Embassy of P.R.China or Chinese Consulate nearby your area for visa application.
Currency
The Chinese currency is YUAN(RMB). One US Dollar is equivalent to about 8.26 yuan as of April, 2005.

 
Welcoming

The 12 th Tri-University International Joint Seminar and Symposium will be held at Jiangsu University , Zhenjiang ,China from October 16-October 21, 2005, JU is gladly going to serve as the host university for this program.

 
Participants from Japan , Thailand and China will join the program this year.
